Dear Year One Families, 

We had an amazing start to term 1 and are now really looking forward to seeing what term 2 will bring us. It is a very exciting term with lots of lovely things for us all to look forward to.  We have some lovely learning to get our teeth into, please see the curriculum newsletter for more details. We will be preparing for our Christmas Nativity, a wonderful part of Christmas for many of us! As always, our door is open, please pop in with any questions. 

 Just a few reminders for this term. 

 Mrs Sykes will be teaching in class on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs Cawthorne will be in class teaching on Thursday and Friday. We have some fantastic teaching assistants, Mrs Smith (Monday and Wednesday), Mrs Redpath (Tuesday) and Mrs Hogg (Thursday and Friday). The children will work with Mr Andrews and Miss Webb for their PE sessions. 

 PE is on Tuesday and Thursday. Children need to come to school in their PE uniform on Tuesday and Thursday. Full school uniform needs to be worn on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 

 Children need to bring their water bottle and reading book into class each morning. Their water bottle is in the classroom and so always available if they need a drink. They will keep coats and lunch boxes in their locker for the day. 

 We will be sending home their reading book each day, it is important that your child gets the opportunity to read and reread the book throughout the week.
