Jubilee Year 2025-Pilgrims of Hope!
This year is a special Jubilee year. They happens every 25 years in the Catholic Church.
The 2025 Jubilee Year began on Christmas Eve 2024 and will conclude on 6th January 2026 (Epiphany). For schools, the Jubilee launch day was on Friday 24th January 2025.
Pope Francis has called this Jubilee Year ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. It’s an invitation to renew our hope;
We are invited to renew our hope and discover a vision that can "restore access to the fruits of the earth to everyone". We are also invited to rediscover the spirituality of God's creation in which we understand we are "Pilgrims on the Earth" rather than masters of the world, and to put our Catholic Social Teaching into action, through caring for our common home and supporting our sisters and brothers who are experiencing war, hunger or poverty.

On Friday 24th January 2025 we began our celebrations for the start of the Jubilee Year of Hope, with our ‘Colourful Mufti Day’. The children looked fantastic in their bright clothes and in our Celebration of the Word, learnt all about the meaning behind the jubilee logo, and the significance of the Jubilee Icon artwork. They then made their ‘Hearts of Hope and Kindness’ to decorate our ‘Door of Hope’ onto our playing field. If you would like to complete your own ‘Heart of Hope and Kindness’, to add to our school community display, you can collect a heart from the lobby outside the School Office. Please keep a look out for other Jubilee events, which will be taking place throughout 2025.
